World Book Day’s mission is to change lives through a love of books and reading. Through their annual event in March – with its joy, celebration and fun – they encourage more children to read, and raise awareness of the difference reading makes to their lives. Children and young people can choose a World Book Day £1 book of their choice for FREE with their £1 book token. World Book Day improves children’s life chances – particularly those growing up in disadvantage and inequality – by encouraging reading for pleasure.
