Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun is Book of the Month!

I’m so proud to be able to share that Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun has been selected as the Booksellers Children’s Book of the month for June.
Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun is available to preorder now and is out on the 9th of June in paperback in the UK and 14th of June in hardback in the US.
Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun is coming to NETFLIX!

I can’t believe I get to say this, but, Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios and David Oyelowo’s Yoruba Saxon have partnered with Netflix to produce the film adaptation of, Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun!!
Ola Shokunbi is set to write the film adaptation. The project is produced by Smith and Jon Mone, Westbrook Studios’ co-president of film, and Oyelowo on behalf of Yoruba Saxon. Executive producers are Westbrook Studios’ Heather Washington, Yoruba Saxon’s Jessica Oyelowo and yours truly.
Two more books for Daddy Do My Hair!

Daddy Do My Hair: Beth’s Twists as well as a new fourth book in the series is coming to Simon and Schuster with all new illustrations by Chanté Timothy. Beth’s Twists features a completely revamped story an will publish on May 26th, 2022.

The stunning cover of Tọlá’s new middle grade book, Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun has been released. The first book in a planned biology, it will be published in June 2022 by Simon & Schuster UK and Margaret K. McElderry Books.
